Before Treatment:
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks. Stop retinoids, exfoliants, and certain skincare products as instructed. Topical numbing is applied in office prior to treatment. Antiviral medication may be recommended for patients with a history of coldsores.
During Treatment:
During your Halo® treatment most patients feel warmth and pressure; numbing improves comfort. Cooling measures are used throughout the treatment. This laser treats both superficial and deeper layers of the skin. Treatment time is approximately 30-60 minutes!
After Treatment:
Redness, swelling, and a sandpaper like texture are expected. Skin will bronze, flake, and peel as it heals. Social downtime is typically 3-7 days. Results continue to improve over several months as collagen rebuilds. Strict sun protection and medical-grade skincare are critical for healing and long-term results.
