Lead Aesthetician

LuminaSkin has been providing advanced medical spa services in downtown San Mateo for more than 18 years. We’ve built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and client loyalty — and now we’re excited to bring our expertise to a brand-new location in Burlingame.

This is not a rental position. As Lead Aesthetician, you will be a core member of the LuminaSkin team with the support of our operations staff and medical professionals.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced aesthetician to help launch and shape our Burlingame center from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of advanced aesthetics, a loyal client base, and a passion for delivering results. You will play a key role in setting service standards, building a strong client following, and collaborating closely with our medical team for cross-referrals. This is an opportunity to lead, grow, and be part of a respected brand with nearly two decades of success.

Responsibilities

  • Set the tone for services, professionalism, and client care at the new Burlingame location

  • Perform advanced treatments including facials, peels, device-based services, and customized skin therapies

  • Provide product consultations, educate clients on home care regimens, and drive retail sales of medical-grade skincare

  • Build strong client relationships by combining your existing clientele with new clients gained through LuminaSkin

  • Partner with our team of RNs, NPs, and PAs to cross-refer clients for medical aesthetic treatments

  • Lead the development of the treatment menu, product selection, and service protocols — serving as the expert who shapes offerings and sets the standard of care

  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation while upholding health, safety, and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Active California aesthetician license with 3+ years of professional experience (medical spa experience strongly preferred)

  • Established track record of retaining and expanding a loyal client base

  • Advanced expertise in skin treatments, devices, and aesthetic technologies

  • Strong product knowledge with proven ability to educate clients and generate retail sales

  • Excellent communication skills with a polished, professional presence & appearance

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently within brand guidelines

  • Collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a team culture that blends spa services with medical aesthetics

Monday - Friday, Alternating Saturdays
