Kybella: Get Rid of a Double Chin Without Surgery

Do you or someone you know want to get rid of a double chin, or maybe even a triple chin? Did you know there’s an FDA-approved treatment for double or triple chins that does not include surgery?

Licensed health care professionals at LuminaSkin administer the injectable Kybella, a treatment that eliminates a moderate-to-severe double chin. The FDA approved Kybella two years ago, and the treatment specifically targets removing fat beneath the chin.

According to Allergan, the company that produces Kybella, 79 percent of patients have “improved satisfaction” with how their face and the area beneath their chin looks 12 weeks after their treatment.

How it’s given

Kybella is injected into submental (beneath-the-chin) fat, where it physically destroys fat cells. Its active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, which is identical to the deoxycholic acid that naturally occurs in our bodies and helps break down and absorb dietary fat.

Kybella is administered as a series of injections. Depending on how much fat there is, consumers may need up to six of those treatments, all at least a month apart. In clinical studies, 59 percent received six treatments.

Is it safe?

You should feel safe with Kybella treatments. More than 20 clinical studies involving 1,600 patients treated with Kybella have been conducted.

The most common side effects are bruising, swelling, pain, numbness, redness and hard areas forming in the treatment area.

How long it lasts – forever!

This is, perhaps, the best part: You are born with a certain number of fat cells under your chin. Once Kybella destroys some of them, they are gone and can longer store or accumulate fat. And they don’t grow back!

It doesn’t get much better than that!

We invite you to reserve a Kybella consultation today.
